Dog Journal 11 - Packed In
My friend keeps taking all my toys and putting them away, hiding every single one from me. This means that every morning I have to wake up, eat my pebbles and then go find my toys so I can do the play and squeaky. And finding my toys isn't easy, especially when my friend seems to think it's a great idea to lock them all up in a box.
So I have an idea. If I just put all my toys in my bed with me, my friend won't be able to get to them. And if he does try to take them, I have a great spot to protect from. No way anyone is going to sneak my toys out from under me when I'm sleeping.
After measuring my bed, which is exactly one tail longer than me, I'm sure that it'll fit in there, it just has to be stacked the right way. I think I'm gonna have to put the ball on the top so everything else won't just roll off when I pile it all in there. One really must consider every variable before pursuing a task. After the ball was in the bed, I piled all the other things right on top of it. The only thing that I couldn't get to fit was the teddy bear, but it wasn't mine anyway. I just thought since my pal keeps hiding all my toys, I'd return the favor.
After I'd stuffed everything into my bed, I searched the rest of the rooms to see I'd missed anything. The only thing I lacked was the octopus. After wiggling the last toy around in the pile, a few things did roll back out because the ball was at the bottom. I knew I should have put it on top. Too late now, I was just going to have to pack it all in and sit on it.
Finally after much wrestling and wiggles, I managed to get all the toys, except for the teddy bear, into the bed. Now only one thing left for me to do. I have to get in there too. Only one problem... I don't fit now! Every time I try to get into the box, my piggy falls out. I put the piggy back in, the octopus rolls out. And it just keeps on going with every single toy.
Okay, how do I do this? Why can't I fit in here? How do I stop all the things from falling out? This leaves me with only one solution left. I'm gonna have to get a bigger bed. Yes, if I just stuff all my toys into the big bed where my pal sleeps, it'll all fit for sure. Then I just have to keep it protected.
Moving all the toys to the bed was no easy task, but at least there was plenty of room. There was even a nice blanket to cover it all up with that I could lay on top of to make sure that no one could get to it without my permission. And I'm pretty sure my pal is actually going to like this new thing I've come up with. Now when it's the bedtime, we can still play all night long. See, I am the doggy genius!
