Dog Journal 9 - Spring Cleaning

My friend made the prank on me this morning. Yeah, she totally pretended to put the food in my bowl and there was nothing there. Well, there was one pebbles, but that's practically nothing! And then after I'd waited patiently for her to stop playing around, she totally did it again!

That's when I'd decided to get my friend back for her silly jokes. If she's gonna play with my food, then I'm gonna have to play with her food. But then again, it sure would be funny if all of her socks were spread out around the living room. Of course, I could always pull the blanket and pillows off the bed too. That one is always really good, especially because I get to make my own little den in the corner with them.

There were no further pranks permitted today though. It turns out that today is the cleaning day and my friend is just wandering around from room to room picking things up and organizing stuff.

And then she brought out the little vacuum. It's the one with the long neck that just hisses at me as it eats up all the little bits of fluff from the floor. Because it's the small one, there wasn't much I could do but hide in the blankets. I'm safe up here on the bed, it's the one place where no vacuum is ever allowed to go.

I watched from safety as the vacuum ate up all my tidbit stashes around the room, wondering how to get back at it someday. This house isn't big enough for both of us, and I'm definitely not going anywhere.

Eventually the cleaning met it's exhaustion and my friend put the last things away and settled down on the sofa. This was my chance to pounce. She was tired but I'm all rested up and ready to play. Besides, she can rest when it's bedtime and it's not even close to bedtime yet.

After much barking and woofing and whining, I managed to convince my friend to at least rub my belly while we relaxed together. I'm gonna get something out of her, especially after that stunt she pulled this morning. And I still haven't forgotten about that either. Oh yes, there's always tomorrow. But until then, I'm just going to enjoy getting my belly rubbed and my paws tickled.
