Dog Journal 8 - Travels With My Pal

I really don't like this box at all. Out of all the boxes, my pal had to go and pick this one for me to have and it's the worst. Scary and dark and it smells funny. Not the good kind of funny, but that sort of odd one of stuff I do not recognize at all. It's not my box and I don't like it.

But I gotta be in there anyway apparently and no amount of borks and barks are getting me anywhere.

I did manage to convince my friend to try it out for himself first, which was the funniest thing I've seen since the the cat got herself stuck in the treat jar. After laying in the box for a while, he rolled around and decided that it wasn't as comfy as he'd first declared. But, I was still supposed to be in there and there was no avoiding it.

At least I've got my squeaky toys with me. I stuffed them in the corner under the pillow for safe keeping. You never know when you're gonna need an extra squeaky toy to help relax. And I get my favorite blanket too so things are nice and comfy. Really it doesn't seem to be that bad, but I would have picked a box with some snack bowls in it.

Everything was fine at first. I had all my stuff with me and my good buddy was here too right next to me telling me neat stories about the place we were going. It sounded like a really great place to play and run around... but then we started moving.

As soon as we'd moved, I felt like my legs had suddenly become as squishy as my squeaky piggy. I fell over and felt dizzy all over, even my tail was wagging in circles trying to find out which was was up. Every bump and turn felt like my box was spinning around. I knew this was the wrong one...we should have brought mine because I know that one always feels good, firm and solid like a cave.

Honestly, I would have preferred to have slept through it all. But I couldn't manage to doze off, dream or even catch a snooze, all I could do was hold on for the ride. The bad part is that I really should have gone potty before we left. So now this all feels like an extra long time. I guess it's a good thing I've got my extra squeaky toys. Don't leave home without them.
